Manik Bagh Palace was commissioned to German designer Eckart Muthesius by Maharaja Yeshwantrao Holkar in 1930 . In that era, the design and the interiors of Manik Bagh was considered as a benchmark for modern chic designs on simple lines and angles . Presently, these furnitures and objects are very much still in demand and fetching high prices at the auction houses. Manik Bagh is now housing the Central Excise office.
