Ludwig II - Sisi's Rosenkavaliere

Story:
King Ludwig II of Bayern and Empress Elisabeth of Austria are two people who still fascinate many people, and so does their relationship. It was a relationship that was no fysical tale of love, but it did grow into a mutual liking and it got two people, so at odds with their world and existence, closer to each other. We see how the Empress mourns for her friend and cousin after he died while taking his own live in the lake at Castle Starnberg, now Sisi remembers one of their visits to the Opera and the Lake.

The song shows the state of mind the Empress was in during the later years of her life, obsessed by Beauty and her own image, and how she saw Ludwig as her soulmate, he was to be the eagle and she became the the sea-gull.
