The car is immediately identifiable by the clear ‘First Edition’ exterior badge. Open the door and not only will you activate Mulliner’s animated welcome lamps, you’ll also be greeted by stainless steel treadplates emblazoned with ‘First Edition’.

Inside, the upholstery features embroidered ‘First Edition’ badges on each seat, alongside an impressive list of premium features that are normally only available as options. This includes the Wellness Seating specification, featuring Postural Adjust and Seat Auto Climate, for maximum comfort and wellbeing. The new high-performance hybrid powertrain combines a V8 petrol engine with a powerful electric motor, delivering 11 per cent more torque than the previous Flying Spur Speed, and almost 20 per cent more power overall. In practice, this means acceleration from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h).
The new Flying Spur Speed ​​is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine capable of delivering 771 PS (782 PS) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque.

Dynamic handling is enhanced by a suite of advanced chassis technologies called Bentley Performance Active Chassis. These include Active All-Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Steering, as well as the innovative Bentley Dynamic Ride system, which helps to keep the car stable when cornering. New twin-valve dampers allow the suspension system to adapt to the driving situation on demand, for example delivering a more refined ride in Comfort mode, even when negotiating potholes or other surface imperfections, while providing greater stability and control in Sport mode.
