Donald Trump leading by ‘very large margins’ in battleground states

The Australian Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan believes the 2024 US presidential election is “Donald Trump’s to lose” as he is leading in the general nationwide popular vote and in battleground states “by very large margins”.

Mr Sheridan wrote a piece in The Australian on how Donald Trump is ‘killing’ Joe Biden, ‘even from inside a courtroom’.

“I do think the election now is Donald Trump’s to lose,” Mr Sheridan told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“Only he could lose it for himself, but he could lose it, of course.

“He’s now leading Biden in the general nationwide popular vote, which is astonishing given how badly Republicans fair in California and New York, but he is leading in the battleground states by very large margins – by more than 10 points in Nevada by seven points in Michigan.”
