Renault 8 1962 the oldest in the world?? Production number 9

This old Renault 8 is a part of my collection. There is a good chance that it is the oldest surviving Renault 8 in the world. At least there can be only 8 others - as only 8 cars were made prior to this one. As they are probably gone this might be the only one left? The early ones had prototype features that were later corrected/improved during the production run. This car was delivered new in Denmark and drove here all of it´s life. I think it is important to keep it and make sure that it does not perish. It needs a little bit of welding, a better paint job and some interior cleaning up to be 100%. But then again a car is only original once and if you restore it - no matter how well you do it - it will never be original again. So while I might fix the welding gently and glue the loose upholstery I don´t want to restore the car. Mechanically she runs and drives fine. Music by Paolo Argento from Pixabay
