Theo Wanne BRAHMA Mouthpiece Trial (Brad Brewer w/ Tall Paul on " Wicked Game ")

My first time trying out the 2023 Brahma tenor sax mouthpiece from ‪@TheowanneMouthpieces‬. Performed with my friend Tall Paul Bobal 4/8/23 for a private concert.

Really, this video represents a day of firsts:
- (obviously) a mouthpiece trial.
- First time covering (and hearing in its entirety) "Wicked Game" by Chris Issak. THIS IS NOT MY SONG. ...just my solo, yay!
- First time running a blind board recording into the iPhone.
I KNOW, ya'll! I'm behind the times!! The audio from the rest of the night (with the other, new beta test mouthpiece... which shall not be named yet... got all overdriven and is unusable.
(No edits after the fact... you get it straight w/ no chaser. Mistakes & all!!!)

Overview:
As both a ‪@TheowanneMouthpieces‬ and ‪@LegereReedsLtd‬ artist for over a Decade, I paired this piece up with Legere Signature Series reeds.

I CAN tell you all that I'm a HUUUUGE fan of this Brahma piece, and I didn't think I would be! I simply cannot understate the irony of THIS song and my new relationship to THIS mouthpiece.
I've been playing a gen 1 Shiva "The Destroyer" piece since they dropped YEARS ago. I may be making a change though...

This is a re-design of the Brahma "Core Sound" series from several years ago (I'm not 100% sure of the date, but think it was like 2014ish). IMHO, its a completely different piece.
It feels full and solid without being too dark, complimenting my love for ballad playing and crooning. But, has a tonal clarity that feels like a more centered Durga. This one is sized at 8* opposed to a 9 which I am used to, but it didn't feel restricted.

I'm confident that, should I need a slightly more aggressive edge to this piece, I could coax more out with a Legere American Cut reed.
I'm planning to put more time on this-and other pieces- soon!!!
