Sentinel traveled to the rendezvous to meet with Quintesson and negotiate an agreement, intending to avoid violence. But Quintesson had other plans and tricked him. Through a trap, Quintesson took control of the Sentinel's mind and was able to read his every thought. Quintesson's evil plan was clear: he would use the Sentinel as his tool to kill all the Primes, take over Cybertron, and conquer The Matrix to obtain the ultimate power for himself.

Under Quintesson's control, the Sentinel helped lure all the Primes into a trap. No one suspected that the Sentinel was tampered with. Quintesson eventually managed to eliminate all the Primes and take The Matrix. But just when Quintesson thought his plan was complete, the Sentinel began to awaken from Quintesson's control. Suddenly The Matrix disappeared.

When Sentinel regained consciousness and saw the dead Primes around him, he was shocked and confused. He did not understand what had happened and could not accept the sight before him. But before he could act, Quintesson once again took control of him, and the nightmare continued.
