This video is a tutorial on how to create an account at Preparecenter.org. This site is a space for collaboration among practitioners in the disaster preparedness and related communities (health, resilience, etc.). The site is oriented around key topics and resources on disaster preparedness and offers a variety of ways in which users can share their own experience, contribute to the content, and ask questions of the community. Practitioners and champions of disaster preparedness from all walks of life are welcome and encouraged to become part of the site community.

Visitors to the site can access any of the content on the site without logging in or creating a user profile. In order to add content, you will need to login. You can do this either by using an existing Facebook, Twitter, or American Red Cross account or by creating a new account on the GDPC site.

Once you are logged in, your user profile will allow you to indicate topics and countries you are interested in and connect with other users who have similar interests.

The site is hosted by the Global Disaster Preparedness Center (GDPC), a resource center supported by the American Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
