These three conditions are similar, yet distinct conditions. These conditions can be experiencing more than one of these conditions at one time. Therefore a diagnostic clarification is crucial to effective treatment.
- Evaluation and Assessment (i.e., Mini-Mental Status Exam (MMSE), Montreal Objective Cognitive Assessment, mini-co., CDT
- Ability to Perform ADLS (activities of daily living)
- Depression Screening PHQ-9 and GDS (geriatric depression screen)
- Access for Suicidality

Untreatable depression can also lead to pseudementia (PDEM)
