That Guy modifies his 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle by installing a set of neoprene fork gaiters to replace the stock accordion style rubber set. The stock gaiters were prone to bunching and stretching during rides due to the inner diameter being too close in size to the 41mm diameter fork tubes.

The neoprene fork gaiters I purchased are from Proline

I selected size 40mm x 220mm based on having a 41mm fork diameter and measuring the exposed tube length. There is also a 40mm x 280mm size that might have been a better choice for my application.

Almost all tools used for this work were from the factory tool kit. The factory tool kit is located underneath the pillion seat. It is normally attached directly to the pillion seat. I store my factory tool kit in the recessed tray under the pillion seat.

Torque values, as listed in the factory service manual, for the fasteners removed while replacing the fork gaiters are listed below in Newton meter (Nm):

6mm Yoke (triple clamp) bolts: 22.5 Nm
24mm Front axle spindle nut: 70 Nm
6mm Front axle pinch bolt: 10 Nm
12mm Brake caliper mount bolts: 30 Nm

Original Music: composed and performed by me.
