Kolkata's rape and murder case is a blot on the entire country: JP Nadda’s wife slams WB govt

Mallika Nadda, wife of BJP National President JP Nadda, shared her thoughts with ANI after participating in the Cowe India Excellence Awards. She praised the event for showcasing women's leadership in entrepreneurship. Additionally, she addressed the Kolkata rape and murder case, condemning the incident and calling for stricter laws to combat such crimes. She also criticized the West Bengal government, accusing it of attempting to cover up the situation
“We saw a live example of women empowerment in the country... Through this event, we saw that leadership being displayed by women in the field of entrepreneurship, is making them self-reliant and also making them contribute to the national economy... Kolkata's rape and murder case is a blot on the entire country. While condemning the incident, we also demand strict laws to tackle such crimes. We also need to understand how the state government is trying to cover up the whole thing. Society needs to awaken and work towards ensuring safety for women, that is the only way ahead... The family system needs to be safeguarded. While women are educated and empowered, men also need to be taught values”, said Mallika Nadda.
