Bengaluru’s premier research centre flooded, material collected over two decades damaged

Bengaluru has witnessed heavy rainfall over the weekend leading to flooding in several areas.The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre For Advanced Scientific Research too was inundated on Monday following incessant rains. The JNCASR is a multidisciplinary research institute built in 1989 by the Union government’s Department of Science and Technology. Reports said that flooding has damaged genetic samples that date back to 25 years.
