Kayaking a Secluded Creek with a Hidden Waterfall

Little by little, one travels far. And when home is behind, the world is ahead. Sometimes you don’t have to travel more than a few miles from home to have the most unexpected adventures.


Responsibilities have gotten in the way of our busy adventuring schedule. So, we took advantage of a break from the gloomy weather and decided to try one of the least travelled creeks only a few miles from home. Honestly, we expected a muddy ditch, but what we got instead was a reason to return.

This creek was a reminder of how close to home you can be transported on such excellent and exciting adventure. We bid it a final farewell before paddling across the lake to get home. We didn’t have any of our usual troupe of fellow adventurers, a big plan or anything. Just our family and a whim to have fun.
