The Super Mario series from Nintendo has turned 40 years old this year. Man, I am so old lol. But yeah Mario did start off early before starting his platforming adventure. He started off as "Jumpman" in the Donkey Kong arcade game in 1981, then he had an arcade game of his own in 1983 with Mario Bros. with Luigi on his side. And in 1985, he would start his own adventure in the platformer genre or side-scroller. It came out on the NES as the first console from Nintendo or Famicom (as called in Japan). And quick reminders, I'm posting the video on October 18th because the game turned 40 in the US when the NES came out and September 13th is when the game turned 40 in Japan. It is confusing, but I lean towards the US release. So what am I going to do on Mario's 40th Anniversary? Well I'm going to do every Super Mario games by Ranking. That's right! This is my first Ranking with Video Games. I have done Rankings before with Movies like Disney & Pixar, but not a Video Game. And I feel like this is a perfect one to do for our Nintendo Mascot. Yes, I called that because Miyamoto created him and he's becoming "The Mickey Mouse of Video Games". So, in this video I'll be ranking every Mario games and I'm only doing his platformer games. No Mario Kart, Party, Sports, Super Smash Bros, Dr. Mario, or any RPG games. It's just Platforming games and nothing else. There's only 18 games in the series with some rules I included like not including spin-off games, side games like New Super Luigi U, Game creations like Super Mario Maker 1 & 2 (which I already reviewed both games), Japan-only games like Lost Levels, Games ported, and Super Mario Run (it is published by Nintendo, but it's only on Mobile). I'm strictly going with Handheld and Home Console. So here is every Super Mario games on the list.
