Katie Got Bandz on Asian Doll, "Go In" Meme, Past Perc Addiction, Dad Did 27 Years (Full Interview)

Katie Got Bandz came through for her first VladTV interview in some years, and she started out speaking to Shawn Prez about growing up on the Southside of Chicago with her mother, and her added that he father was in prison for her entire childhood. Katie also detailed growing up in the Ida B. Wells housing projects in Chicago, where she witnessed violence, and she also spoke about the current state of the city. Moving along, Katie spoke about moving to Atlanta, getting into rapping, and dropping “I Need a Hitta” in 2001, which started to gain momentum. Katie also addressed being a viral meme for years after making a cameo in rapper Shady’s “Go In” video, and she went on to speak about her “Drillary Clinton” mixtape series.
