Vespa GTS 300 HPE oil change for 10 minute
Change the oil of Vespa HPE 300.
I use Castrol Power 1 scooter 5W40 oil.
To clean the oil filter with the strainer I use an alcohol-based spray to clean the brakes.
Then I blow the oil filter with an air compressor.
I unscrew the oil plug with a torque wrench number 24 with 15-17 n / m of torque.
I tighten the new oil filter by hand.
After draining the old oil, I pour new oil before I screw the oil plug in order to wash the crankcase out of the dirty old oil.
To pour the new oil I use a funnel with a silicone hose.
I put an old kitchen tray under the bike stand.
Before draining the old oil, I let the Vespa work for 5-10 minutes to heat the oil.
After pouring the new oil, I check its level on the stick.
Vespa GTS 300 HPE collects 1,250-1,300 ml of oil.
I bought this vespa gts 300 hpe from the UK 3000 miles away. I checked with a Piaggio dealer so far it is not serviced. I drained only 600 ml of oil from the Vespa engine ...
