Afsaneh Khanum, a symbol of resilience and hope in the heart of the mountains, is a woman who never gives up despite many hardships. After taking refuge in the mountains due to her husband’s problems, she lives with her four children: two biological daughters and two adopted sons whom she has kindly adopted.

Even after her house was demolished by the government, she built a new shelter with the help of the people. Today, in the cold of the mountains and next to a warm fire, she lovingly cooks food for her children and spreads plastic to protect the roof of her house. Her story tells the story of boundless maternal love, the beauty of nature and the hope of life in the most difficult conditions.
