Tumble Training: Not All Visible Corrections Are Priority Corrections!
Just because a correction is visible doesn't exactly mean that is the priority correction to fix. A lot of coaches want to fix the first problem they see, or every problem caught, all at once. Tumblers have certain feelings in certain skills they need to experience before they can attack the corrections. Some tumblers want to prioritize mechanical over aesthetic improvements. Others want to feel the skill exactly how they should learn it, and instead of cleaning the tumbler must learn to trust themselves to do the skill solo. Some tumblers have bad habits, some are stronger than others, and some are over thinkers. In the end the coach must have an understanding of the skills they teach and the tumblers they teach them to for the most effective & safe training. Awesome job Juliette!
