Making and Digitizing Free-Standing Lace with an Embroidery Machine | Machine Embroidered Lace

Still hard at work on the skirt for my Sakizo Frau cosplay and easily the most time consuming aspect is digitizing and stitching out all of the embroidered applique detail. Because the skirt is velvet I didn't want to embroider directly onto the skirt, and honestly that seems like a big headache trying to get everything lined up correctly in the hoop so I decided to do the lace as an applique. There are so few resources for digitizing free standing lace for an embroidery machine, so I hope this is helpful! It's definitely not the most comprehensive tutorial so hopefully it's still useful and as always I'm happy to answer any questions I can!
