This never-before-seen footage of our baby tortoises visiting our exotic pet vet shows what veterinarians look for in healthy tortoises. Our exotic reptile vet, Dr. Metos, gives the baby Sulcata tortoises their first vet exam! She exams their eyes, nostrils, shell, mobility, and gets weights and exact measurements. Dr. Metos also exams the shell of baby tortoise Number 5, the baby tortoise who hatched one month and two weeks after all the other baby tortoises. Number 5's shell was concave and had a severe deformity. Dr. Metos gives her take on his progress and if Number 5 is going to be ok! Thanks for watching this animal video!
