After Effects CC 2021: How To Use Corner Pin

This tutorial will show you how to use the Corner Pin Effect to place videos, animations, or still images onto a photo mockup of screens (Computer screen, mobile device screens, etc). The Corner Pin effect will put 4 pins on the corner of your footage and you can transform it to fit a space you need to get the right perspective and not distort the footage.

This tutorial uses a still image as the background so motion tracking is not required. You can use the Corner Pin Effect on video backgrounds, but you will need to use tracking.

How To Use Corner Pin Adobe After Effects CC 2021:
1. Open Composition with photo to place footage on (I used a free image from Unsplash.com and just did a search for iOS Screens)
2. Drag photo, video, animation you want to transform on top of composition
3. Select footage layer in the Project Panel
4. Go to Effects & Presets and search for Corner Pin
5. Double-click on Corner Pin or drag it on to footage
6. Drag the Corner Pins (large circles) in the corners to transform into place
7. Zoom in as needed to accurately transform footage
8. Use Spacebar to move composition around

Note: If the Corner Pins ever disappear, select ‘Corner Pin’ in the Effect Controls and they will be visible again in the corners
