Assam politician Bhupen Kumar Borah has resigned from the Congress and confirmed that he has submitted his notice to the high command. Saying he does not find it necessary to explain his decision immediately, he said he would speak in detail when required. Borah adds that leaders such as Raijor Dal’s Akhil Gogoi, AJP’s Lurin Gogoi, and CPI(M) have reached out to him. He criticises the Congress for indecision during the Majuli yatra, saying the party must reconsider its future strategy.
