In today's video, Zach and I went up to San Rafeal to one of our favorite spots in San Pablo Bay to try and catch some sharks rays and striped bass! We only had time to fish in the afternoon so we got to the spot at 3:15 and decided to fish until sunset! Both me and Zach casted out a line and went down the rocks to fish a swimbait for stripers. After fishing for 10 minutes I went back up the rocks to recast my shark rod when the bell started ringing. I picked up the rod and immediately felt the headshakes of a small shark. I set the hook and started reeling. At first it did not fight very hard but once it got close to shore it finally started to fight. We brought it up to the rocks, took some photos and released it right back into the water. Ten-minutes later Zach's rod went off with another fish. This one was bigger as it started running away from him. Zach thought he felt big headshakes however, when it got close to shore we realized it was a 30 pound ray. Surprised, we took it out of the water, dehooked it and threw it back where it belongs. We then fished more for striped bass but got no bites as the sun started to set. After getting no more bites we sent the drone in the air and got some awesome aerial shots! Overall, a great day at San Pablo Bay and a day of bay area fishing I won't be forgetting anytime soon!

About Us:

JZFishing was created in December of 2019 by a group of three teenagers all with a passion for fishing!
