Hammertoe Surgery Explained by Dr. Moore (Using an 'Internal Pin')

Описание к видео Hammertoe Surgery Explained by Dr. Moore (Using an 'Internal Pin')

If you have a hammertoe, claw toe, mallet toe, short toe, or long toe, there are a variety of surgeries you can perform now that will not only correct the deformity, but keep the toe in a normal position. The 'Trim-It Pins' by Arthrex are not only ease to insert during the hammer toe correction, permanent corn removal surgery, or toe shortening surgery, but you can bend it to give the toe a slight bend or any position you like. This is important for cosmetic foot surgery since correcting the hammertoe is one thing, but matching the rest of the toes is critical.

Post operative care is relatively easy with suture removal at 2 weeks and, of course, no pin removal. Return to shoes is 2-4 weeks (patient preference) and heavy exercise in 4-8 weeks.
