This video reviews how PD gets paid out via Stips, but that there isn't really much negotiating that will go in to it. If you are an injured worker with a California injury, and don’t have an attorney, this video is intended to help provide an overview of workers’ compensation topics so you can better represent yourself.

If settling with a C&R, there is quite a bit of negotiating, and a number of variables to the settlement. However, with Stipulations with Request for Award, the only real number that matters is the final PD rating. That will come from the PTP or the QME. Whatever that number is, most of the time, that's what workers' comp will base the settlement on, and there won't be any real negotiating.
