NEW 2024 Audi RS7 Performance - REVIEW exterior, interior, features

The 2024 Audi RS7 Performance presents an irresistible package for performance car enthusiasts. With 621 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque at its disposal, the car is undoubtedly powerful. But what sets this luxury performance sedan apart is the easy-to-drive nature and comfortable interiors which do not compromise the thrill of high-speed drives. Audi has integrated larger turbochargers and increased boost pressure to squeeze out the added power from the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine.

Mechanical improvements to the car are also noteworthy. Audi engineers have redesigned the fully mechanical self-locking center differential, making it lighter and more compact. Moreover, the transmission control unit software updates ensure quicker gear shifts. This, coupled with fine-tuning of engine control software, notably enhances the driving dynamics and cornering control.

Another interesting feature of the RS7 Performance is its sound. Audi deliberately reduced the sound insulation to let the growl of the powerful engine be more prominent. An optional RS sport exhaust is also available for an even more exhilarating sound, which certainly adds to the driving experience.

On the exterior, Audi has put in special effort to distinguish the RS7 Performance. It comes with standard RS exterior trim components finished in matte gray. There are also two new colors introduced specifically for this model - Gerenadier Red metallic and Ascari Blue metallic. This makes the vehicle stand out and adds a touch of exclusivity.

The wheel options in the RS7 Performance deserve a special mention. While the standard offering is 21-inch 10-spoke star design cast aluminum wheels, there are three additional lightweight forged 22-inch options available. These lighter wheels significantly enhance handling due to reduced unsprung weight. Additionally, the new Continental “Sport Contact 7” tires provide better grip and precision.

Inside the RS7 Performance, there is a plush setting with the new RS design package plus. It is available in gray, red, and blue. Depending on the color, there are corresponding accents and trims scattered throughout the cabin. Seats feature Valcona leather upholstery with honeycomb contrast stitching, and there are Dinamica microfiber touches on the shift lever, armrests, and center console.

The car also comes with a standard 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus which boasts of new features like a shift indicator in manual transmission mode and Launch Control. These features are designed to enhance the driving experience and make it more immersive. Moreover, the RS7 Performance has an LED puddle lamp graphic that projects “RS performance” on the ground when the door is open, adding a touch of class.
