मुंबई से सटे पनवेल इलाके की गोदरेज सिटी सोसायटी में मराठी भाषा को लेकर हुए विवाद का एक मामला सामने आया है. यहां रहने वाले विजय चांडेल का एक वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो रहा है. वीडियो में विजय कहते नजर आ रहे हैं कि वे भारतीय हैं और हिंदी ही बोलेंगे. मेरे को जबरन मराठी बोलने या सीखने के लिए मजबूर नहीं किया जा सकता. विजय चांडेल, जो एक ट्रैवल ब्लॉगर हैं उन्होंने बताया कि यह विवाद सोसायटी में गणेश उत्सव मनाने को लेकर शुरू हुआ. उन्होंने कहा कि सोसायटी में कुछ लोग इस आयोजन के खिलाफ थे. लेकिन हमने गणपति स्थापना का निर्णय लिया. इसी बात पर विवाद बढ़ गया और धीरे-धीरे भाषा का मुद्दा खड़ा कर दिया गया.
