Data indicates that anxiety is a growing social concern with serious ramifications. This is the first of a five-part series drawn from Philippians 4:4-8, to give constructive coping strategies in response to anxiety. There are different types and different degrees of anxiety, and not all anxiety is sinful or sin related. It is good to be able to identify anxiety and be aware of what causes anxiety so that we can live in a way that reduces the amount of stress we have to deal with. The principles Jesus taught in His sermon on the mount, constitute godly counsel for a life filled with joy and peace. God loves us and cares so much about us that He invites us to cast our anxiety on Him. We pray that, as you listen to this series, may the Lord make you more aware of His presence with you to empower you to overcome anxieties that come your way.
