কাহিনী সংক্ষেপঃ ‘অপূর্ব পেশায় একজন ডাক্তার। দিন পনেরো ছুটি নিয়ে বাড়ি ফিরছে। আসার পথে সে দেখে একটি মেয়ে ছেলেদের সাথে ফুটবল খেলছে। সুন্দর তার হাসি। অপূর্ব বাসায় ফিরে তার প্রিয় ফুলগাছগুলোর সামনে। অনেক ফুল থেকে একটা ফুল ছিঁড়তেই পেছন থেকে সেই মেয়ের ধমকের সুর। অপূর্ব তার মায়ের কাছে জানতে পারে, নীতু তাদের নতুন ভাড়াটিয়া। অপূর্ব তার ভালো লাগার কথা জানালে মায়ের সোজা জবাব, এই মেয়ের মধ্যে কোন মেয়েলি গুণ নেই। সংসার করবে কি! টমবয় মেয়েটি বাবার কথা ফেলতে পারেনা! বিয়ে তো হলো, কিন্তু তারপর!’
