Bank Results Explained: NIM Outlook, 17% Loan Growth & Asset Quality | Salee S Nair | Business News

In an exclusive conversation, Mr. Nair breaks down the bank’s quarterly performance and outlook.
He highlights that net interest margins (NIMs) remain strong at 4.04% for the quarter and are expected to stay above 3.9% for FY26, despite concerns around potential repo rate cuts.

Mr. Nair also shares confidence on Q4 performance beating Q3, with loan growth guidance of 16–17% for the year, driven by MSME, gold loans, and select retail segments. Asset quality remains robust with gross NPA below 1% and net NPA at 0.20%, while credit costs stay largely flat.

The management also addresses the rise in operating expenses, attributing it to technology and digital transformation investments.
