This is about growing older and accepting when parts of our lives are no longer accessible in spite of the vividness of our memories; this song is about letting go of those memories regardless of their appeal. While there can be an almost irresistible attraction to those times in our past when things were different, sometimes even very good, are we better off accepting when our lives have changed?

Words and music for this song are the product of a collaborative effort by Ray Burns, Steve Thomas, Jeff Powel and Chris Rininger. It began with a guitar noodle, if you will, that Steve had been working on to practice Travis style finger picking. It begins the song but is then overlaid with a double time acoustic finger picking part by Jeff, a bass line and very quickly, a hard rock electric part to move the song from a triplets feel to straight 4/4 time. Ray is singing lead with accompaniment by William Limbach and Chris Rininger. Lyrics were written coincidentally with the music in a group setting. This proved a curious experience since ideas did not always go in the same direction, but it was the consensus to keep it simple and, to focus on the general themes outlined above. After hearing the original version. Valerie Markell felt the nearly acapella chorus was too discrepant from the rest of the song and recommended synth to pull it up in energy. Keys were added by Steve Thomas including the synth parts that were added to the chorus. Steve also played live drums for this song using an Alesis digital kit and the drum part is the first true "live" drum sound that we have recorded, although additional rhythm sounds were added and improved upon using the magic of midi instrumentation.
