About this video: If you want to know how to install Ark mods in 2022, this is the video for you! We show you how to download, install, and play any Ark: Survival Evolved mods that you want. This can include mods that add more dinosaurs, increase performance, add in more materials, and more. Truthfully, the limits are nearly endless with Ark mods. They really are a great way to take Ark: Survival Evolved to the next level, so let’s jump right on into it!

First off, I do want to mention that this is how to get Ark Mods with Steam. Epic Games handle things differently as you don’t have direct access to the Steam Workshop Ark Mods.

With that out of the way, we can move on to how to download Ark mods in 2022. This is actually very easy. Open up Ark and click ‘Host/Local’. Then, on the far-right side of ARK, you will see ‘Mod Settings’. Next to this, there is a little A with a + sign next to it. Click this, and the Steam Workshop will open.

This is where you can get Ark mods. By default, it will sort by the most popular mods over the past week. I’d recommend changing this to all time as you get a lot cooler mods like ARK Additions, Paleo ARK, and more. You can also search for mods if there is a specific mod that you are looking for.

To install a mod once you have found it, hover over the mod and click the + button that appears. That will start the mod downloading right away.

When you come back to ARK, the mods will start appearing in the bottom right corner of ARK. Once the mods you want are installed, click on them in the Available Mods section and click the two arrows. This will move the mods into the Active Mods section. You can move mods around in the active mods section in order to give them priority. Mods closer to the top have priority over the ones under it.

Once you have your mods installed, you can click ‘Play Single Player’. You will then join in with mods installed in Ark: Survival Evolved.
