The R129 Roadster like This 14K Mile 1998 Mercedes-Benz SL 600 is the last Collectible SL-Class

SOLD The R129 has long been one of my favorite Mercedes-Benz products, mostly because they have been affordable and readily available. Despite being a very advanced car for their time, they retained enough classic "nuts and bolts" engineering to be like a classic Mercedes while still offering safety and driving features that make it feel like a modern car.

These cars were available with 3-engine options in the United States that changed a little over the years - a V8, an inline 6, and the V12. While the 6s and 8s are certainly potential collectibles, the over-the-top 12 will probably be the most popular on the auction block.

This is a 14K mile 1998 SL 600 with the desirable AMG Sport package. It will be offered exclusively on Bring-a-Trailer in the coming weeks.
