update 2022: i copy paste a recent comment: Can confirm this also works really well with the Ramshult and Kallror. With Ramshult both the Kallror bars will be at the bottom, so you can turn it around and get a higher/lower angle depending on your preference!

Protection: plastic rubbery stickers. Ikea used to sell these, not sure now. I use big ones - pack is from a brand 'suki. International' 50 10 mm thingies in a pack. Ikea sold smaller stickers. To keep doors and drawers closing silent and bump free. On one stand, I used round brown stickers - I can buy these in the supermarket. Kinda like these 'Rutschstopper Ø 15mm fix-o-moll' - google this.
