LED Vs Halogen Vs Fluro Work Lights The Watts & Lumens Lighting Scam

During summer I had plans to totally rebuild my video making area, this included new lights as well. But once I started to look at various work lights I started to realize there is a game going on with the numbers surrounding various types of lights. Basically there is no standard number which really indicates the lights true ability....sneaky indeed.

We all want low budget lighting solutions to make videos but sometimes the best light comes from the ones which many people say are energy wasting.

I compare a very inexpensive 500W tungsten halogen work light to some other different work lights and show the advantages and disadvantages of each work light, but don't we buy lights for good light? Just because a light is large in size does not mean it's bright. With the new trend of energy saving lights which have high initial prices attached and low lumen output I thinks it's a real buyer beware situation. You can blow a ton of money on new LED lights which are basically useless at producing good light. You need good light to make good videos.
