Delhi-NCR recorded a severe cold wave spell between January 5 and 9. The temperature went as low as 1.8 degree Celsius on January 8. So far, Delhi saw around 50 hours of dense fog in January. This is the maximum number of dense fog hours in a month since 2019, says IMD. The cold wave horror is not only troubling residents in Delhi but also those in other states. Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh are also set to witness another cold wave in the coming weeks. Temperature is likely to dip to 0 to -4 degrees Celsius in the third week of January.
