Stroke survivors and people with aphasia often have a hard time saying left when they mean left and right when they mean right. I have found that practicing one direction and solidly saying the word again and again can make a big difference.

I want to encourage stroke survivors, brain injury survivors and people with aphasia to pratice this way. Target challenging word and repeat it again and again before adding in other possibilities.

Say with me here the word "left". You might need it on a drivers test. Many people with aphasia and stroke survivors and brain injury survivors I know want to drive again and have passing the driver's test as a goal.
