The Dodge Dart was ending it's life fairly soon when this Ad was created. 1976 was the last year for the Dart and Plymouth Valiants in this form. Joe Garagiola again as a representative of Dodge did a fine job here. This ad features the Dart 4 door SE, a fairly plush level of Dart. 1975 was a particularly bad year for the Auto Industry, the USA was in the grips of a strong recession. In a few short months, Chrysler Corporation would invent the "Rebate" program to move these Darts during their Car Clearance Carnival. That future campaign revolutionized the USA Automotive Marketing practices forever.
