Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Tour | Is it Disney World's Best Hotel? Complete Guide

On June 28th, 1988, Walt Disney World opened its signature resort The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. With exterior architecture meant to resemble San Diego, California's famed Hotel Del Coronado and interior decor reminiscent of Victorian Era England; the Grand Floridian was designed to be the icon of Walt Disney World's Resort Hotels. Much like how Cinderella's Castle became synonymous with Magic Kingdom Park, the Grand Floridian was to be the beacon that called out to guests and commercialize the magic that can only be felt if staying on Walt Disney World property.

Out of the 26 on-site resorts Disney offers, the Grand Floridian is the most expensive and most sought after. Due to this, a stay here has always eluded us. We've been privileged to have stayed at nine different Walt Disney World Resorts prior to this and thanks to our friends & channel members, Dominic and Jenni, we were able to make the Grand Floridian our tenth.
