Hello everyone, welcome back to another video, in this video we will tell you, what makes a pre-engineered building stronger than traditional buildings and what are the major components used in making these kinds of buildings.

The major components of the pre-engineered steel buildings are divided into 4 types:

Primary components
Secondary components
Sheeting or Cladding
and Accessories

Primary components mainly contain
- The mainframe, which basically includes the rigid steel frames of the building.
- Columns, which help to transfer the vertical loads to the foundations.
- And Rafters that are designed to support the roof deck and its associated loads.

Secondary components contain
- Purlins and Girts, where Purlins are used on the roof and Girts are used on the walls.
- Then we have Eave struts, which are used at the intersection of the sidewall and the roof.
- And Cable bracings, which are the primary members that ensure the stability of the building against different forces.

- The sheets used in the construction of pre-engineered buildings are Base metal of either Galvalume coated steel or cold-rolled steel, with hot dip metallic coating of Galvalume sheet.

- And finally, accessories.
They are the Non-structural parts of the buildings such as bolts, turbo ventilators, skylights, doors, windows, etc.,

So these are all the components that are used in making a pre-engineered building. If you wanna know about anything related to prefab structures
