La Invención en re menor, BWV 775 de Johann Sebastian Bach es la cuarta de sus quince invenciones a dos voces, compuesta hacia 1720 como pieza didáctica para su hijo Wilhelm Friedemann. The Invention in D minor, BWV 775 by Johann Sebastian Bach is the fourth of his fifteen two-part inventions, composed around 1720 as a didactic piece for his son Wilhelm Friedemann. Written for keyboard, it combines contrapuntal clarity with the serious and expressive character of the minor key. Its structure is based on the constant imitation of a theme between both voices, making it an excellent exercise in hand independence and phrasing control. Despite its brevity, it reflects Bach’s mastery in balancing technique and musicality, and remains one of the most studied works in the Baroque keyboard repertoire.
