Using examples from the shop, we look at the key external differences between the flathead design of the L-134 (found in the CJ-2A, CJ-3A early production Jeepsters) and the F-head design of the F-134 (found in the CJ-3B, CJ-5, trucks and some later 50's Jeepsters). We cover the valve cover height, carburetor placement, intake manifold differences, and the unique "F" head configuration that makes the Hurricane taller.
