Скачать или смотреть BC: No bridge at the end of the road in yet another post-apocalyptic sight 12-7-2021

Scenes like this have started to reveal in the past week as BC is reopening the zones most affected by evacuation alerts and evacuation orders. The bridge that crosses the normally quiet creek on No 4 Road halfway between Dixon Road and Interprovincial Hwy in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada is no more. The submerged soil beneath the roadway collapsed and large pieces of asphalt with the yellow median line visible have fallen in the crevasse. This is one of numerous bridges and overpasses that have been damaged or demolished in the span of three weeks during which three atmospheric rivers poured an uncontrollable amount of rain water over BC. Levels rose catastrophically and debris afloat amassed in bottleneck areas like this bridge causing enormous pressure and sideway forces to the road. Repairs are underway in most of the Lower Mainland as residents have been allowed to return home.
