This is the thirteenth video in my Daggerfall blind playthrough series. In this episode, I try to reach level eight and attempt to get back into the Mages Guild's good graces after my previous betrayal. Along the way, I collect mummy juice, get banished from Sentinel, collect some research notes, learn a new spell, open an old box, help Wayrest's Mages Guild cover up a scandal, take a trip (or two) down memory lane, and do a favor for the Underking.

Thanks for checking out my first playthrough of TES II: Daggerfall. After playing TES: Arena earlier this year, I wanted to continue my journey through the Elder Scrolls franchise. Next up: Daggerfall. I was immediately hooked.

I love how the game continues to challenge, surprise, and delight me. It's been a joy getting to see familiar places and names pop up so early in the series, and to fill in some gaps in my knowledge of the lore. At time time of writing, I'm about 20 hours into the game and I've barely scratched the surface. I'm recording episodes during my Sunday and Monday livestreams on Twitch, and I'll upload these to YouTube on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The events of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall (1996) take place approximately six years after those of Arena. Emperor Uriel Septim VII sends the player character, the Agent, to Daggerfall on a sensitive mission. The Agent is to exorcise the ghost of Daggerfall's King Lysandus and to discover why a personal letter from the emperor to Queen Mynisera never arrived.
