In this Daily Scoop video from Drink Champs provided to you by Scoopy Benz, Jeezy aka Da Snowman, Mr 17.5 recounts how Kim Porter (R.I.P), Ebony Elektra and P Diddy helped him land on the billboard with his southern gangsta rap group Boyz N Da Hood with their street banger "Dem Boyz" which debuted at number 56 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Jeezy, who had just won Trapper Of The Year 4 Times In A Row at the time, drove around Atlanta handing out his mixtapes in his Ferrari looking for major exposure, finally got one when he got a call from Ebony Elektra to join P Diddy in studio.

Jeezy stopped by the studio packed with big names such as Jazze Pha, Trick Daddy, P Diddy.
Jody Breeze, Big Duke, Big Gee were working on "Dem Boyz".
As everyone was leaving the studio because Jeezy was "taking too long to lock up", that's when the magic happened, Jeezy went to the booth and took "an hour" to deliver a classic, a legendary verse so hot they had to let him go first on the track.

so I get in the room with these guys

and they're doing the song Dem Boyz

so I'm in here with people who like spitting bars you know what I mean

so it took me like an hour and half to just write my verse

and it took me like another hour to put it down

because I'm not so familiar with the studio

so by that time

everybody walked out

cause Trick was there

Jazze Pha was there

and everybody was there

I remember them

like you know

people in the hallway

talking shit

like man he whack

so I remember I put it down

and I walked down the hallway

told him to play it

and it was like if it's taking too long to lock up bring it back

by the time the full bar came

everybody that was outside talking shit was in the studio going crazy
