England are back again on Asian shores to showcase what 'Bazball' can do in Test cricket. In the first Test of the three-match series, Pakistan and England will lock horns at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan starting from Monday (October 7).

The last time England toured Pakistan for a Test series, they won 3-0 and looking at Pakistan's recent record at home, surprisingly, the visitors will start as favourites.

England captain Ben Stokes is ruled out of the first Test and Ollie Pope will once don the captain's hat in his absence.

Zak Crawley is back after recovering from his injury while, pacer Brydon Carse has been handed a debut.

England have already announced their playing XI and they have included two front-line spinners and three seamers.

England are coming into the series on the back of a 2-1 Test series win over Sri Lanka at home and would be brimming with confidence.

On the other hand, Pakistan have been going through one of their lowest phases in Test cricket. They haven't won a game in over three years.

The last time they won a Test match at home was way back in February 2021. The hosts recently were humbled by a lower-ranked Bangladesh side at home as they lost a two-match Test series 0-2.
