Mina Kim is so impressed by Rick’s performance against Morrigan that she wants him to be her teacher. Maybe he can help her get her spark back…

But, Rick refuses because Mina’s eyes betray her weakness. Until her heart can truly learn to commit, her spiritual strength will never reach its potential. Deep in her heart, she seems to be running away from the deep emotional sacrifices that strengthen a person and make them grow. A man like Rick Xykes would never waste his time teaching a wishy-washy student who doesn’t have the BALLS to follow through!

And, so he asks…”What are you running from?”

What is it that prevents Mina Kim from ever committing? She loses interest in things quickly. She’s forgetful. Always looking for the next thrill. Living life like there’s no tomorrow. Running away from potential relationships when things get rocky. Pushing would be friends away in times of struggle.

In an attempt to figure that out, Mina sees Ninja Girl Mai (and Ayane Shiun / Chubby Mermaid) in the street and decides to try to commit to something. She openly admits that she likes Mai, and unlike episode 19, she stands firm waiting to know if Mai likes her, too. This time Mina won’t run away! Whether Mai reciprocates her feelings or painfully rejects them with a well placed kick, Mina Kim will commit to her own feelings and experience the strength one feels when releasing the chains on one’s own heart!

It takes (lady) BALLS to commit to something with all your heart, but Mina will prove to Rick that she has them! (even if they get squished in the process)

Maybe then she can find her spark again, and take on Goose in their rematch!

And, maybe she can uncover the REAL reason why she’s been running all these years…

Or maybe, Mouse will inadvertently help her uncover it…
