There is no more hospitable, cosmopolitan city in Spain, open and multicultural that the Greater City of Córdoba in Andalusia. Madinat al-Zahra is the lavish and mysterious palace that according to the legend Ab al Rahman III (Abderraman) had built for his favorite Azahara. It is the chronicle of the story of love and destruction of an abandoned city seventy years later, by the wars of Al-Andalus.

On July 1, 2018 Madinat al-Zahra is declared Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO as a unique example of the Umayyad architecture, art and culture in the West. Medina Azahara is the archaeological site of the city that became the capital of al-Andalus in the 10th century. Córdoba is the only city in the world with four Declarations of World Heritage Site.
