The provided parameter (this) which references Fragment is not as required, the method require a parameter of type ViewModelProviderImpl, this is caused by the incorrect dependence declaration in the gradle file (when working with viewmodel and lifecycle).

The upgrading to version 2.7+ will throw this error. Use another version if you get a conflict with dependences and don't want to change your code.

Use 2.5.1 version is working well.

the classes in the this version of lifecycle does not provide implementation method that accept the parameter(fragment and Activity).
