Women’s High Jump Medal Ceremony

This was one of the most significant medal ceremonies of the 2023 Games, as it confirmed Saaremaa’s Linda Kivistik as the most successful female in the history of Island Games athletics. Her victory on countback from her younger sister Teele Treiel gave her the tenth individual gold medal of her Island Games career which began in 2013, the first female athlete to achieve that landmark. She also achieved three gold medals in a week for the second time.

Teele’s silver medal was the 41st individual medal won over the years by members of the Treiel family, and the bronze medal went to Teresa Fríðriksdóttir Bláhamar of the Faroe Islands to follow her shared bronze in 2019.
